iVMS-4200 Walkthrough for Windows

Before starting, you will need to have already installed iVMS-4200 on your PC. The latest version is available to download from our support page.

Initial Setup

Step 1: Download the iVMS-4200 program from the Bullet support page (www.bulletcam.ca/support)

Step 2: Click Yes to allow changes

Step 3: Click the I Agree checkbox and then click Next

Step 4: Click Install

Step 5: Click Finish

Step 6: Click Allow Access

Step 7: Click Enable

Step 8 : Enter a username and password (this can be whatever you want).  Click the Auto-Login Checkbox so it doesn’t ask you for a password each time you start the app.  Then click Log in.

Step 9 : Enter three verification questions – these are used in case you need to reset your password.  Then click Log In

Step 10 : Click OK to close the helpful welcome popup

Step 11 : Click OK to close the second helpful popup

Step 12 : Click Close to close the final helpful popup

Step 13 : Click Device Management

Step 14 : Click + Add

Step 15 : Enter your site name, Address, Username and Password.  Be sure to check “Import to Group” then click Add.

Step 16 : Wait a moment and you should see a green “Online” indicating a successful connection!
If not, you may have entered the incorrect info on the previous step.

Step 17 : Click Group

Step 18 : Right Click Encoding Channel and select “Update Camera Name”

Step 19 : Click Main View

Step 20 : Select the Desired View Layout using the icon on the bottom right.
You can select one or multiple cameras to be displayed on screen (ie 3×3, 4×4 view etc)

Step 21 : If the cameras do not automatically populate, click the play triangle button next to the Site Name and all available cameras will be displayed.

Searching Video

Step 21: Click the Menu icon

Step 22: Click Remote Playback

Step 23: Click the Calendar icon

Step 24: Select the time and date period you want to search.
Select the Start time/date and End time/date, then click OK.

Step 25: After the video loads, you will see an activity timeline along the bottom of the screen.
Pink lines indicate motion-triggered recordings.

-Use the playback controls (pause/play/fast forward etc) at the bottom of the timeline.
-You can grab the timeline and drag it (scrub) to the desired time (grab the black part)
-You can zoom in/out on the timeline using the tiny + and – buttons to the right

Downloading or Saving Video

Step 26: Right click in the video window and select “Capture” to save a still image

Step 27: Click the download icon if you want to save/export a video clip.

Step 28: Enter the start time and end time that you want to export, then click OK.

Step 29: Want to know where downloaded clips are saved?
Click the Menu button, then click System Configuration.

Step 30 : Click File

Step 31 : By default, video is saved to the C:/ drive in a hard to locate folder.  You can change this to something better like My Documents or Desktop etc.

Click the three dots to the right of the “Saving Path of Video File”
Then select the folder you would like to save file to, and click Save.
